When your dog touches their paw to your hand, reward them with praise and a treat. When your dog raises their paw even slightly, praise it with lots of verbal encouragement and give the dog a treat from your other hand. Before teaching this      command, deciding where you want your dog to sleep is crucial. <\/p>\n<p> Most puppies learn a training      schedule within 4 to 6 months, and if they are under 24 weeks old, will need to potty a minimum of 3 to 5 times per day. If you are training a puppy to eliminate on paper or in a litter box, the space the puppy is contained in will need to be large enough for a sleeping area away from an elimination spot. (Dogs don\u2019t like to eliminate where they sleep.) But keep in mind that a puppy who\u2019s trained to eliminate on paper or a litter box might have a lifelong surface preference. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"toc-0\"> Puppy dog Training Breakthrough by Era <\/h2>\n<p> Whether you have  experience training dogs or you\u2019re a newbie tired of chewed-up slippers, following these steps will set your pooch up for success and strengthen your bond with them. For example, try a dog camera that dispenses treats so you can encourage and reward good behaviour even when you\u2019re out and about. Of course, treats shouldn\u2019t always be relied on to get dogs to do what you want, but they can be an essential tool early on while building and encouraging good behaviour. <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"toc-1\"> Using a Leash <\/h3>\n<p> Of course, you can&#8217;t give him a treat for every good deed later on. However, you should reward him from time to time after training.      Your pet gets exercise, is kept busy, and you get to spend time together. After training, he will stop pulling on the leash, listen to your commands, and may even obey commands such as &#8220;sit&#8221;, &#8220;down&#8221;, and &#8220;give paw&#8221;. Second, it strengthens your bond and the trust between you. <\/p>\n<p> If your puppy does wake you up in the night, don&#8217;t make a big deal of it; otherwise, they will think it is time to play and won&#8217;t want to go back to sleep. Turn on as few lights as possible, don&#8217;t talk to or play with your puppy, take them out to the spot where they relieve themselves and then return them to bed. Give your puppy lots of chances to potty in an appropriate potty area. Then use positive reinforcement (treats, play, praise) to encourage your puppy      to keep pottying in those areas. Keep crate time to a couple of hours or less, except at night. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"toc-2\">  tips for getting started with dog training  <\/h2>\n<p> Their bladders and digestive      systems are tiny and they may also have a higher metabolism so they process food more quickly. They also are often rehomed slightly older as they can take longer to wean so they don\u2019t get the early start on toilet training that larger breeds get. If you don\u2019t like the idea of a crate, you can use a pen (although sometimes it is hard to set them up small      enough &#8211; and athletic puppies can climb out). Some people prefer to have their puppy on the bed with them \u2013 or sleep on the floor beside them \u2013 but that usually means you get no sleep at all! Small breeds can sleep in an enclosed soft bed on your bed however if you prefer. Once you\u2019ve established a toilet area, take your puppy there routinely to let them use it and always then reward them with a treat. <\/p>\n<p> Confirmation in the form of praise is therefore important for training success. If you give the commands in the same voice you always use, your dog will probably not respond.
